coolant gauge STI cluster??

Hey guys,
Been thinking my thinking my thermostat was going out cause my coolant temp was reading high. Replaced it with a misimoto one and flushed and brup the system. Now on my AP it reads about 196-205 till the fans kick on BUT now my coolant temp on my STI cluster is all the way up to red and still reads 186-205 on my AP!!! Is there a fix for that or is the cluster bad? Any tips could be great . Also forgot to mention I replaced my coolant temperature sensor as well, since that could have been the issue too. Thanks
