CA STI vs. The Rest

ok, so i just picked up an sti in Cali, i was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not there is more restrictions vs. stis in other states. Thanks!

we have some of the most restrictive emmissions laws around.....if you were going to come this far for one, you should have gotten in it Nevada, where almost anything is legal (obviously)

yeah i understand that... but wouldn't u think an ecu reflash should fix everything? or is there anything mechanically thats different?

I think all cars are the same per 50 states, I do know though that some motorcycles(particularily sportbikes) are different in ca. vs. the other 49.

I don't know if it was a sales ploy or not, but back in 2003 when I was on a wait list for an STi I was given an opportunity to buy a blue/gold because that car could not be shipped to California due to emissions. My wife was flatly against the color (too flashy) and so we waited for our white/gold.

Some car manufacturers charge more for cars in california because of california emissions laws. Build a car on some manufacturers website and it usually asks if you want it california emissions legal.
