Talking Should I buy a turbo back or catback then downpipe?

I was wondering is it better of buying a turbo back or getting a cat back then adding the downpipe and what ever else. Its about $1000 + for turbo back and about 400+ for catback depending on what downpipe you get you could save yourself some money. I was thinging of Perrin, Aps, or HKS!! Other thing I was wondering Im not going to go hog wild on speed ( I wish ) but only thing I was wonder is how big can I go with out lossing back pressure on stock turbo bummped up to like 17 - 18 psi . I see a lot of talk about the Dtec that uses the Gameboy. Is it any good or is there something better to bump up psi. One more thing after all that is all done how about tuneing how should I go about doing thing should I let some 1 or get a part so I can do it my self?? If anyone else has any Ideas please say something Im still learning and reading up on it all.

I have a HKS SSHQ on ebay for sale with both flanges 1 you can weld on to FMIC or other mount on TMIC only 6 days left under ( guppie3 ) starting bid $125

Well if you look for a used Turbo back its quite cheap actually about 700 bucks for a APS TBE used. I've bought mine for 800 and its only been used for about a 1000 miles then they sold it to me. Either cat or TBE loses some back pressuredepending on the size because of a bigger exhaust. I have the APS 3.5" on mine and i get almost no back pressure. But if you really want to save money go search for a used exhaust or go to a meet and ask people if they are selling their old exhaust. Plus it wouldn't hurt if you took some time to correct your grammar when posting something the next time!

You can probably go cheaper by buying parts separately, but you need to do your research. Some catbacks won't mate up to some downpipes; and some downpipes are the short variety meaning you'll need a midpipe as well. In the end, you're probably better off buying a complete setup that was designed to work as a system.

As for bumping up boost, don't do it, especially not with a gameboy. Any increase in boost requires appropriate changes in fueling and timing. All of this can be accomplished with a proper engine management system such as an ECUtek reflash or Cobb Accessport. Both can be custom tuned while your car is on a dyno and both can be loaded with off the shelf maps made from cars with similar modifications to your own. The Cobb AP adds map switching capabilities and the ability to download maps on your own (the ECUtek downloading must be done by the tuner). Cobb also has Street Tuner software out there so you can tune yourself.
