i dont think it would be a problem because the day i bout my wrx it had 5miles on it so on my way home i was doing like 120mph some places.And before i had 1000miles i took the cars pass 140mph bone stock at the time.Know my cars has over 42k still running good cheers

yeah i beat mine up as soon as i got her.i did give her a chance to warm up.i'm over 3k and had no prob.drive it hard and fast-Z

and the debate continues.

the dealer I bought mine from recommended the 1000 mile break in. So far I have been pretty good about keeping the revs down and under half boost.

I figure half the break in period is to get all gears and mechanical surfaces working smoothly before you start putting real power down. It's not just the engine we are talking about, but the diffs & tranny as well.

I mean, it's not like you have to be rev happy to go silly fast with the STI.
