Unhappy bov concern

hello fellow i-club. I recently purchase a new 07WRX, and i need tips on putting on the HKS SSQV. It appears that there is a hose that I dont know connected to the stock bov.

Dont put it on, sell it. Your car will run like crap with it on. First mods should be downpipe and Accessport.

What Fenderstrat said is correct. The BOV will do way more harm than good and you should get a cat-back, down pipe and Accesspory.

Don't get the HKS downpipe. For just $25 more you can get the Helix V3 catless downpipe w/ the CEL fix from gruppe-s.com. It offers all the popular features that expensive downpipes have like stainless steel finish, bellmouth housing at the turbo and has a place for an external waste gate, plus the CEL fix! It's great package and looks great too. Much better buy in my opinion.

I have an 06 wrx tr and its the exact thing happend. I was from the DSM background with some mods that wont harm the engine like it would on the wrx engine. Bov and cold air intake. These two can really harm your engine. I put on a turbo xs bov (100% atmo) on my 06 wrx and a month later it was back to the dealer for new:
1) catalic converter
2) downpipe
3) o2 sensor
4) gasget
totalling of $1000+ (dealer price for everything and labor) Of course it was covered under warrenty. But i doubt you would wanna do that now would you? Trash the hks ssvq and put the money on AP v2. =D

I SAID GOOD DAY!

People have been complaining about the new products from Helix not fitting great. I think there are a few better downpipes to get. I have an Invidia and I love it.

I agree with fenderstrat066.......just sell it and stick with the stock bpv. The HKS bov will not give you any hp and will make your car run like crap. Nuff said!

The Helix V3 Downpipe tends to rub on the tranny mounts.

Go with the Titek, which is bellmouth and cheaper than the V3. I have the V3 and it hits the tranny mount. I had to bend the bracket to fix it, and it is starting to do it again. I have heard a lot of good about titek and you can get it at subydude.com. Great shop, great price.

Do yourself a favor and listen to what was already mentioned and do your homework before doing anything that can do more harm than good.

Here's a list of FAQs from nasioc: BOV, downpipe, etc.

Ditto on that. I have an 06 and I'm running the Invidia catted DP... no fitment issues whatsoever.
