Boost problem. Those who knows please answer.

Hi guys.

I have a weird problem...After a good hard drive i lose boost!

It takes ages before I get boost..round 4500rpm.Usually I hit full boost at 3300rpm,now I don't gett full boost at all.

It's like driving an NA car.
The exhaust sound is different to..more rumble than usual.

When I'm done driving and park the car for the day,and I start up the next morning everything seems fine again. Why?

I have a theory tho..: I think my wastegate actuator holds the flapper open,or that the shaft that goes to the flapper gets stuck in some odd way due to overheating. If some of you can confirm my thoughts or knows what the problem is,please answer.

I have a Turbonetics T 60-1 compressor with A/R.82. T3-T4 flange.

EJ257 USDM engine.
WRX EJ20 heads.
850cc injectors.
Reversed inlet.
Fmic.
GEMS ECU.

396 HP ATW.
520 NM ATW.

Cheers and thank you for answering.

It was the Denso bleedvalve and that the internal wastegate flapper got stuck wide open.Bought a new Turbonetics boostcontroller, external wastegate and dump valve.

I think the hole in the exhaust housing is way to small for 400+ bhp so I'm going to block it off and build in an external wastegate soon...Already bought the valve.I do have to re-configure the exhaust up and down pipe since the former owner has put the turbo in a 35 degree angle off center..(?!)

The oil gets "stuck" in the housing and over heats. The rear bearing has got a beating because of this ,so now my car uses a lot of oil and it puts out a blueish smoke betwen gears when i floor it.

Will be sorted out asap.
