big differences in the 2.5 turbo

i want a blow off valve, what would be the best route, i know there are types that are 50 50 or dump everything, which way should i go with this engine, it has that electronic throttle body to. i do not know much about this engine at all, it is the wrx not the sti.

you don't need one.

but if you HAVE to have one, your car will run rich, it will backfire and in turn mess up the cats. I'm not sure about smog laws in PA, but yeah. The 50/50 won't make you run as rich, and most of the recirculating to my knowledge don't sound as loud as the others.

Also, try doing a search of the site, you'll find some good info

There isn't really a benefit to a bov... if you want the sucking and releasing sound remove the intake silencer. Not quite the same but you can still have the fun without all the pain... and it doesn't cost a thing.

If you do remove the intake silencer make sure you have an elbow fitting to replace it with so you can still get air to the intake box. They are one piece in the 06's.

I thought they were always a one piece item? I'd say its optional if you want to buy one, like anything else I have heard its share of negatives.

A BOV will not help performance what so ever and will probably make your
car run rich.It also hinders performance too.

but for real, just taking of that elbo does what? just sound no benefit, correct?
here is one thing i found out, the strut tower bar for my 02 rs does not fit on the 06 i have not tried the rear , pissed me off.
