hey, soo ive come across a problem with my alternator, it turns on and off in short periods of time. i am use to it turning on, running for a long few seconds maybe even a minute, but recently it would turn on. run for a quick few seconds, turn off, and repeat through out. i was wondering if anybody could tell me what the problem is, since i usually hear it turn on for longer periods of time, turn off and not turn on again till longer period then it is doing now. i leave my engine bay open in my garage every so days so that is how i am able to hear it.

 

You hear your alternator turn on?
Do you men the compressor for the A/C?

 

UGHH.. im an idiot. LOL. thanks for the help. i think that might just be what it was. me leaving the ac on. freaaakk. brain fart moment. im gonna have to check later. i wasnt straight in the head last night when i heard the fan from the alternator go on an off.

 

There is no fan that can not turn on and off
