air intake
what is the difference between a short ram intake and a suction kit? i was shopping for intakes online and came across a blitz carbon suction kit and it was like 700$ was wondering what it does and what is the performance difference.
I've been lookin around and it seems that its just another way to sell you more overpriced things. A short ram will replace the factory airbox and snorkel. That suction kit looks like it just replaces the front ram air and adds a filter. I notice it says you still need a "velocity stack" intake system which is the same as a short ram intake. Hope that helps.
Tell u the truth u really dont need an aftermarket intake unless your running a bigger turbo. The stock sti airbox is good for like 300 whp. Top it off if you don't have any engine managment to go with the intake your acctually hurting your car. Anyways.... I would suggest getting a catback downpipe and an accessport then get pro tuned by one of the great bay area tuners. Like I said only a suggestion if u haven't gone this route yet.
