lets see talking to phil from element 450 on race gas with what i have will be no prob especailly with external wastegate. hydra used my car as a test vehicle and from base the hydra with my mods full exhuast made a big diference. i ran 12.56 before and with the hydra tuned for the mods i had at the time im sure i would be in the 12.20 range. most of my vids will be street racing ones. as soon as i finish up my set up ill get dyno runs

450WHP will be hard for a green, even for a 8cm. It could happen, but ur gonna have to run MAJOR boost 26-27+ PSI...Its just too small of a turbo , maybe u should get a better/bigger Garret??
Didn't Element switch to gt30 or gt35 already BTW??

im going by garrets words and phils even when we hooked up at sema same thing was said. i dont want a side mounted set up like gt35 etc cause im street racing alot and i already can fab a heatshiled and say car just has a downpipe and exahust. ill be able to cover turbo wtih heatshield.

dont really feel like spending another 3500 bucks to get 50 more whp with a garret anyway. rather put that money in a new block or rims and tires. im covered with head work since cousin works at a race shop out here in the city and can have him work on the heads.

phil has a different set up as far as the garret turbos concernced.

11.50s and ill be fine. IF GUYs are hitting 400 on pump gas im sure race gas will get into 440-450 range

I browsed the linked thread and as I said it's from better control of boost as the car it was tested on had a creeping issue so the before and after numbers are useless.

Don't get me wrong I think a external wastegated setup is the way to go (I have been running one for over 2 years on a GT30) but it doesn't add any power to the equation just adds better more stable boost control which in turn should lead to a better powerband.

I would imagine 450whp is reasonable on a dyno-jet.

thats what i tried to say before, i dont know where my mind was when i posted.
the external simply allows for better boost control. i think alot of people are under the impression that adding an EG adds power when it simply allows you to push the turbo farther, safely.

How's your gas doing with those mods?
ban suv's right. My gas mileage is about the same. I'm getting maybe 10-20 more miles per tank...not that much different. But it also goes the other way if I'm always stepping on it. I guess it would be fair to say that with the mods I have now, i'm getting +/- 15 miles per tank depending on how i drive.
