anythings possible you would be best looking into a COBB 2.5 short block if your shooting for more than 400whp, our bottom ends are nice than the regular WRX buts its no EVO. the 450whp would be the the most hp Ive seen out of a US STI so far, shine on you crazy diamond!

well ... sounds like money isn't really your biggest problem. in that case, i would talk to axis power for a build block, you can keep your sti head cause it has avcs, as far as turbos go, the fp green is a great choice. also a garrett turbo. a linksys standalone. good tires, and also nos should be considered for a quick boost.

theres guys out there pushing 400+ on stock internals but we'll see how long that lasts, I think if I was planing on running 350-400 whp day in and day out I'd replace the pistons(hypereutectic cast) with forged ones and ARP head studs. After 400whp I would really start worrying about the rest of the bottom end, rods, forged crank(yes ours is cast) and sleaves, our sleaves are thinner than even the 2.0, sucks

I dont know of any cams right now that will work with AVCS, all the ones people are considering means not using AVCS. Im sure there will be some at some point though. the FP green is a great turbo for around 400+whp but you will need something bigger to get up to 500.

Crawford 2.8
Ported Heads w/ Jun cams (lose the AVCS)
Deadbolt Superzilla w/57lb wheel (custom external gate setup)
or larger turbo (T67, custom GT42, etc...)
C16
Nitrous for spoolup
All of the necessary parts to keep it together and running right (head studs, cometic gasket, front mount, carbon-carbon clutch, etc.....)
GL,
Dave
