06 WRX: COBB Stage 2

I was checking out COBB's website...and looked at 2006 stage 2 WRX:

Acceleration Data:
0-60 mph : 4.6 seconds
1/4 mile : 13.4 @ 101.5 mph
(average times based on our customer's results)

Comes with AccessPort, and TBE.

Could I make the 06 WRX even more powerful if I just sold the TBE and got an up/dp, or do all 3 of these work together? (I'm a bit of a newbie on up's/dp's/tbe)

I'm just trying to figure out what is the best chocie for an 06 WRX for power. I hear EcuTek gets you more power but it isn't worth it, is this true?

Oh, and this is gonna void my warranty, right?

Actually I think the numbers you quoted for the 06 stage 2 are actually for a prior year...not sure if they updated the 06 numbers yet but they should be at least a little better.

I'll have mine tomorrow (got the confirmation/tracking#) so I'll post up a review.

06 Stage1 93 octane

Ok I've been at stage 1 for a few days now, heres my review:

Overall the car is much smoother, with less hesitation at low rpms (around 3000).
For some reason I notice the biggest difference in 1st gear, it seems to really come alive now. I've hit around 15 psi which is a little higher than what I used to max out at, not sure if this will increase anymore.

Bottom line, it was well worth it although I don't see a huge difference in high rpm power, the car is much smoother and throttle response greatly improved.

Can't wait for stage 2!

That's where stage 2 comes in, a better designed downpipe and a 3"exhaust will do wonders for your top end. When I had my turboback it made power all the way to redline while the stock exhaust will top out around 5k.

Stage 2 with I/H/E and big TMIC makes mega power. I made 295whp on a mustang with those items minus the headers. That was with the base stage 2 map. Have fun....

06

Hey, I have a 2006 WRX as well. I just put on the Cobb Stage 2 accessport and im running the 93 octane base map. I have noticed a huge difference then stock. I have also added a BPM TMIC, Green Filter Drop-in, ATR 3'' DP (open DP) and also the Hallman Evo RX MBC. The power im makeing with these mods is unbelievable. Although people say its bad to run open down-pipe i have been doing it for about 3k miles now and its crazy strong. Im getting ready to purchase my exhaust though, gas gets eatin at WOT. lol. Well good luck with your 06's.

EDIT: The Cobb numbers for the 2006 are Stage 2 93 Octane- 285hp/340tq. If you visit http://www.cobbtuning.com/wrx/accessport/25index.html
