06 Turbo Lagg

is it just my car or does everyone else have it? on first gear when ur running the slowest u floor it but it doesnt respond as fast. JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT ME.

thats due to the electronic throttle, so it not necessary a turbo lag. NO more "drive by wire" throttle for the 06 wrx/sti

for me on each gear, when im on low rpm..it doesnt respond so im guessing all 06 wrx has that lag

I thought that all of the new wrx and sti's are drive by wire and no more throttle cable.

most likely can be altered with tuning. I think they build in that sort of buffer zone for smoothing cruising. With that buffer zone you'll be able to cruise at a constant speed with less speeding up and slowing down due to slight throttle movement....know what I mean? Thats just one of the things youre gonna get by going from gas pedal manually opening the throttle to it being done electronically too...

true. although I'm sure there is some, although less than with the ej20's, turbo lag too

its just the regular wrx ...the STi has no lag...maybe its the diff turbos

It lags until about 2500-3000 then the turbo kicks in. Its a mix of the electronic control and also turbo lag in general. Plus the tiny intercooler does not help the 06 out at all.

A bigger front mount intercooler will help reduce turbo lag.
