06 sti fuel pump install-questions

06 sti fuel pump install-questions
today i installed walbro pump and the only issue i had was the pump physically touching the filter.i talked with 2 well known shops and they said its ok.anyone else have this happen and is it ok.
also installed the box that goes around the pump sock,was that correct?
