yeah, what everyone is saying is to get one if you want one, but....here's my story.

i wanted one. i got one. i installed it. i experienced RPM drop like NO other. i'm talking, to the point where my car would stall out on me. starting up the car, having it idle so rough, it would dip down in RPM then eventually die...oh, and the throttle hesitation! EEEK.

+1...same story here, but don't let others sway your decision. If you want it, get. You'll get teh same sound with the snorkus mod though, just not as apparent as an atmospheric BOV.

that's happening because it's staying open at idle.. stiffen up the spring and you shouldn't have problems. with the stock bpv if you take the hose off and plug it the car will run like ****, because the stock bpv stays open at idle.

If you want LOUD hissing get a COBB Short Ram. A bonus is the low price and potential, though minor if any, increase in HP. (I am new to the STI, but the general consensus on most forums is the stock intake and BOV are both fine until you have a "built" motor.)

If you running over 25+ psi. Get bov that has Recirculating Kit with it. You can get one for HKS and there are few others that will Recirc.

Do not take the recirc hose from stock. because you will detune your car. And it will run like crap.
