I have an 05 Sti and so far everything sounds right. The only other thing is they got rid of the crappy grey air bag cover and went with a all black steering wheel.

Check out this link;

Horsepower is the same,torque is up for 05, weight is down. Steering off center feel was tweeked.
.
The link is about STi' being homologated in FIA Group N. That's the terminolagy used to describe a new model car becoming accepted as a "regular" production car that can be raced. You have to prove that the car in question has sold enough units to qualify as a readilly available model that anyone can buy off of the street. No special "Hot Rodded" factory specials are allowed.

Oops,.
Sounded too good to be true, if anything the 05's should have LESS horsepower than a 04. But what about some of the other items in that web sites comparison? Like the 05 weighs less, and the Aluminum trunk lid, stuff like that, is that only the Japan only Sec-C version also?

Can anyone confirm or deny that the 05' STI comes with s/s brake lines and s/s clutch line? Also as stated above does the 05' STI come STOCK with the short throw?
Also what is the difference in seats as far as an 04 to an 05 goes? Looking at the pics they look exactly the same to me.
Thanks,
-Nigel

it's not that the '05 STi comes with the short throw, its that most of them have the package which includes the short throw.
The seat fabric is supposed to grip better, and the bolster foam is supposed to be stiffer.
