I looked into buying an 05 and went with an 04 anyway for 4g less I got a better deal.. All I know is that if you can still find a dealer that has to push out a 4 and you can strike a deal on a 4 i would go with a 4, because of the price. But if price doesnt really matter then get the 5.
When I looked at a 4 and 5 right next to each other I couldnt tell much of a difference, and to someone who doesnt know about cars or soobies, they are going to think they are identical.
As far as the radio is concerned yes a stock one is nice but there should be no reason why you would not want to put in your own speeks and stuff thats way better anyway.
Thats just my 2 cents, take it for what its worth..

There are three sensors tied into the DCCD in the 05 model: yaw-rate & lateral-G sensor (one unit) and an accel/decel G-sensor. The AYC of the Evo is quite a bit different than what Subaru has implemented here.

STi sticker on door is stacked rather than a long string of text (wordwrap).
"SYMETRICAL AWD" sticker on rear window instead of "AWD".
Plain looking key as result of immobilizer transponder.
