If you do a search you will see what most of us think. My exhaust:
TurboXS Turbo-Back with Hi-Flow Cat
You can get this with the stainless steel Magnaflow muffler or the RFL-Ti (Really F-ing Loud Titanium) but the RFL-Ti is very loud and has been shown to discolor/melt the STi bumper. (Any muffler can bolt right up to this so you have many options for the actual muffler.)
I researched a lot before buying and settled on the TurboXS. I am VERY HAPPY!
It adds a lot of power (26 WHP supposedly) and isn't too loud. The 3" single tip looks great but is not so large as to attract the police (so far
)
Idle is very quiet which I wanted because I live in a quiet neighborhood.
My 2nd choice was to go with the TurboXS downpipe with cat-back adaptor and then get the Greddy Evo exhaust. It is even quieter.
Once you put on the downpipe, you will hear: the turbo spool up and the wastegate flutter. Some don't like these sounds but I do. Flutter and whoosh when accelerating!

If you want just a catback, I recommend the HKS Hi-Power. Excellent quality, high performance, rich sound, and IMHO beautiful (JDM) looks. Pay a couple hundred more for the bling-bling C/F Ti if you like, too!

Tanabe Super Racing Medallion. Sounds great, check out my review in the reviews section. Sounds like a Porsche or a motorcycle. Deep and rumbly sound.
B&B is a great company too.
Vishnu sig series is supposed to be great as well.
