ok folks....I have finally decided to buy myself a nice x-mas gift....although I am gonna wait till after x-mas...I wanna know what exactly I want....
SO, I definitely know I want a twin tipped exhaust system....so these are what I have been looking at:
the Stromung
the Perrin
or the Bosal
My first choice goes to the Bosal....specifically because I really like the tips they used for it....plus I have seen ONE on a WRX and it looked/sounded awesome....but I have not really seen any specs on it, nor am I sure how the Bosal compares to the others listed performance wise.
Secondly, I would choose the Perrin....I know it is supposed to give better numbers on the dyno than a TXS axle back. But I am not too keen on the Tips....but then again, if I get the performance out of the Perrin that I am looking for, the looks I can deal with.
Thirdly, I would choose the Stromung....I know they make a good exhaust system and it looks damn near stock....in cognito...but I am not sure how it compares to the others I have listed performance wise.....
Basically I would like to hear from ppl that know about these specific exhaust systems, as they are the ones I have been debating between and am more than likely going to purchase one of.
Thanks in advance

After looking at your choces and seeing the specs I think you might want to also check out the Borla Hush cat-back. I have it on my car right now and I really like it. check out this link

There are pics on the thread and it has the dual tip just like the bosal, plus if you want to hear we could meet up somewhere and you could take a listen. I'm in SJ near milpitas.
Back to your question I would go with the stromung. THat was the exhaust I was going to get until I got the Borla.

I'd say Borla hush or Perrin.
the others aren't even an option IMHO.
bosal is cheap but you get what you pay for
Stromung is over rated too if you ask me.
I own the Hush and love it so far...if you want something louder then get the perrin.

That Stromung exhaust is a old pic ....I have the Stromung on my WRX (a friend of mine has one too) and it looks different...it is the best I have come across for quality, sound and fitment....the entire unit is SS and looks stock (with just bigger tips)....
When it comes to engineering Stromung knows what they are doing...especially at high speed the car runs so much smoother...
Sound: The boxer engine sound really delivers....it's sound like a Porsche now
(Poor mans Carrera 4S = WRX )
I can recommend the Stromung without a question (I even have one on my M3)

The price of the stromung was part of the reason and the fact that it was hard to get hold of one locally. I still would have gotten a stromung, but the Borla Hush was very similar to the Stromung and it cost less. Also there were other ppl who had gotten the Borla and liked it. Plus I also remembered from back in the days, circa 1999, I was reading on the Edmund forums for Subarus, that various ppl had gone with Borla exhaust and loved them. So with a cheaper price and with what I think is the same quality material I went with the Borla. No complaints so far.
Yeah just let me know when you wanna hear the exhaust. I leave off of Piedmont Rd and drive home from work going down Montegue. We can set something up.

i have the stromung rear section mainly because i want the stock look. i have used many exhausts in the past (5zigen, dual tip bozzspeed, blitz rear section, then the stromung.) i like it cause it looks and sounds stock. but if i had money, i would go for the borla hush.

unless you're looking for the loudest f'n exhaust in the universe for your wrx, I wouldn't get the perrin. If you use the perrin from the turbo back, the resulting system is louder than the TXS setup with the RFL muffler.
I've got the Bosal, it's A quality piece at a good price, just pretty damn loud. If you've got less than 2 cats I'd say it's probably unbearable. I think some of them had a defect (fixed now??),and it will burn the underside of your bumper , mine's ****ed already anyway so it doesn't matter
Maybe this will help your decision in some way.

**** Bosal, and Borla hush? why jump on that bandwagon?
STROMUNG TED... STROMUNG!
(yeah, i'm serious.) Get it in 3", and Dual Tip. It will make the most power out of those 3 exhaust systems, it will have the deepest, most mellow sound of the 3. Totally stealth, clean looking, 100% functional without any drawbacks.
You gotta trust me on this one.
