Whats goin on guys. I got a 99 impreza RS. I want to do a 2002 WRX swap. I found a motor but the guy said that the front driverside cylinder has very little compression. He then said he took it to the dealer and the dealer said that the cylider was dead. Is this a big problem to fix. I can get the motor for about a grand from the guy complete with the ECU, engine harness, alternator, intercooler, manifolds, up pipe, down pipe and stock turbo. Is the motor worth buying? Also what would i need for the swap. I heard that my 2.5 RS trans is better to use also i would just need a new clutch. I was also told the only thing i would need for the swap would be the complete motor, bigger exhaust, new clutch for the 2.5 rs trans and a jdm sti crossmember. Did I miss anything guys. Your help and advice would be greatly appreciated?
