Hmmm well if you think about it.... the 60' difference is about 0.6 seconds (avg 1.9 for a WRX to a 2.5 for the Civic). If we add 0.6 to the WRX that eliminates your "from a roll" handicapp. So we're still looking at a 14.8 car vs. a 16.5 (at least) car. And that's still being unfair to the WRX since the 60' isn't made 0.6sec lower just from AWD but from an extra 100hp. Stock numbers for a GS-R on a good day were 15.6. That's still 0.8 seconds. Even on AWD vs FWD-train loss, 100hp (vs Civic) or 50hp (vs GS-R) is not a drop in the bucket. Let's not even talk about the difference in torque numbers

The only car to surprise me yet "on the top end" is a fairly stock 240SX SE w/ the KA24.... but then the almost 1/2 a liter over the WRX really make a difference for raw torque. He wasn't whooping me, but I certainly was surprised by how he held it... that and at the time his suspesion setup was way better than mine
