Will I break 300?
Will I break 300?
I have turboback exhaust, TurboXS Blow off valve, Samco IC hoses, MBC, K&N air filter, and will be sending out my ECU to get remapped. Will I break 300hp? How fast will I run 1/4 mile on average compared to others with similar set up?
This is how I figured it. From COBB tuning, with just a turboback exhaust and their mapping and with 93 octane, they claim that I can get 285hp.
285hp+Samco IC Hose (6hp)+silencer removal+K&N air filter, MBC=299.99ho? :-)

What you really want is the most amount of power available across the broadest rpm range...peak power doesn't help to move yuor car, it can be a representation of how an engine makes power, but two cars peaking at 300hp can act VERY differently on the road. I'd recommend a fuel pump upgrade at this time as well...
I have a helix downpipe, bosal catback, perrin ic hoses, sti scoop+gr-spec splitter and was running the 3/16ths mod during test.

BTw did you own an is300?
They are really nice! my dad had one. There is no way they can even hang with a stock rex, even from a roll it'll get blown away but nothing compares to the solid handling feel.
It feels like your steering wheel is an extension of the road. That car just has a whole different feel to it than the rex. The steering is quick and precise. If i had the cash, i'd drop a supra tt motor in one. But then again, if i had the cash i'd just get a low mile 97' Supra TT and leave it at that.

The stock turbo cannot safely flow enough air to make 300 hp without excellent engine management. Once you upgrade to, say, a VF30, 340-350 is easily attainable.
