Will a Downpipe affect Gas Mileage?

This might be a stupid question, but I don't care. I'm just wondering if I get a Downpipe will my gas mileage get worse, and if it does by how much? Any info would be great. Also one other question, how hard is it to install a CEL Fix?

Thanks,
Raymond

New found power = heavier foot = bigger smile = worse gas mileage.

an aftermarket dp has more flow, and less resistriction. it gives a bit more gas mileage on the highway, but i would think in the city it possibly might give you less, because of all the constant rebuilding of boost.
just my thoughts
