if i were you id just get a catless dp because a aftermarket catted dp is illegal anyways . . . but if you were to go with ANY catted dp, go with Helix !

I have the Helix catted D/P. Great improvement from the stock and my car doesn't stink like the catless.

Plus its soo pretty.

I was thinkin' about that sucker also, but I think it would be easier to see the cat from the botton,(for the 5-0 and sniff factor) and but I'm sure the stock third cat impedes alot of flow.

Metallic substrate cats flow better than ceramic and Cobb, Stromung, Crucial (to be released), Helix and many others make DP's with metallic cats. You can purchase the Helix catted DP ($400) here http://www.mpjperformance.com/main.html and a TXS DP ($580ish) here http://www.worldoneperformance.com/c...e.com/main.htm the Stromung http://www.daddysscp.com/dcart4/home.php?cat=1 or FlashNdash, the Cobb ($575) http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/power-i.html#s-downpipe (might have to wait a few months) and the Crucial which IMO is the best and one of the most expensive can be found here http://www.crucialracing.com/products/downpipe.php. but their cat pipe is still in the development stages.

When it comes to bellmouth DP’s, I like the design of the TXS DP but it has a ceramic substrate cat. I have the TXS DP with catted midpipe and I plan on switching to a metallic cat when this one dies. I don’t think it will make enough of a difference to justify spending the $ on a metal cat and that is why I am willing to wait.

I’m no expert on the subject but from what I’ve read most DP’s will perform fairly close to one another so you have to ask your self if a few extra HP or ft/lbs of torque is worth the extra $. The Helix catted DP is around $400 and the Crucial shorty DP and cat pipe will probably be around $650-$700 so are you willing to spend the extra $250-$300 to actually get the best.
