Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

What are these (devices in the pics, an MBC?)

yeah, it looks like an mbc. The switch might be a toggle for different map settings, but thats just a shot in the dark.

the switch might be a abs switch? alot of guys make them and mount it in the same location. the other thing i have no clue, but i know people who make ignition cut off switches for security and hide them under the console. let us know if you find out what they are!

Odd....only one line on the manual boost controller.....? How does that work? Might just be a bad angle.

the first 2 pics is an ABC(Aux. Boost Control) valve that comes with the TurboXS UTEC(piggyback Engine Management)

not sure what the switch in for in the 3rd pic, could be anything.

the selector switch in the 4rd pics is the Map Selector switch for the TurboXS UTEC.

you need to download the UTEC manual from TurboXS.com to learn about it.

you seriously need to take the car to a Subaru-specific tuner/shop have them look the car over from top-to-bottom, there's no telling what else has been done to the car

agreed, they should just send a $15 GM BCS (to replace the stock solenoid) w/ it instead of a who-knows-how-much ABC...

Remote Map Selector. (more info here: [urlhttp://www.turboxs.com/shop_car4.php?car=5[/url]

I'd agree with getting the car checked over with a fine tooth comb. You really need to know what has been done to it for a few reasons.

One being that you don't buy stuff that's already there, and more importantly to see how much abuse the car received prior to you buying it.
