I looked around a little and like you I wasn't able to find anything like the MadDad halfback. TXS stealth back has an intermediate pipe that does the same thing but it will only work with their setup. I'm surprised no one else has thought to make a part like this.

If you don't have the Helix DP yet you might be better off buying the TXS stealth back since it will come with everything you need. The catless version ($605) would be $70 more than a Helix DP and a MadDad halfback ($535). The catted version ($699) would only be $50 more than the Helix and MadDad ($650). I have a TXS DP/catpipe, and IMO it is a better setup than the Helix. I don't know that its better but I like it more because of its bell mouth design. Unlike most bellmouth DP's that taper within a very short distance the bellmouth on the TXS DP starts off at 4" and smoothly tapers to 3". As far as I know the TXS DP will let you hear the turbo more than most DP's because of its design so if you don't like the sound of a turbo this DP may not be for you. If you are interested in the stealthback, MJP carries it so you could buy it from Soren.

I did a full TBE and Cobb stage 2 reflash (switched from stage 1) when I installed my STI upipe and I only lost about 2 mpg. You only installed the upipe and lost around 4 mpg. Have you been running your car a lot harder since the upipe? I know I always run my car harder for the first week or so after I add some power.
