exhaust options for '05 FXT

I'm wondering just what exhaust options I have for my FXT. Right now I'm running the accessport stage 1 map but I've got a Cobb dp on the way and I've got a vf39 and a STi tmic sitting here waiting to be put in. I plan on using Cobbs AP vf39 map as soon as I get this stuff installed but I'd like to finish the exhaust with something that looks & sounds close to stock. I have access to an APS up pipe but I'm not exactly sure what will work on the FXT with the Cobb dp. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Daniel

cobb DP reuses the stock donut gasket to the catback. The only forester specific catback that I know of that mates up to the stock donut gasket are the COBB catback and Stromung Catback (virtually the same, except the COBB has more polished bling and ~ $50-60 more.) There are WRX/sti specific catbacks that would work also, but there is one hanger on the inner axleback pipe that is positioned differently and might need some custom work done, or as others have done, not use that hanger which works fine.

If you haven't already, check out subaruforester.org

If you're XT is lowered, not all WRX exhaust will work. I was completely done with a install of TBE and after the car was lowered to the ground, one of the flange was about 2 inches from the ground.

Yeah, it is lowered. I've got wrx struts w/ sti springs. I may be going with the stromung...does anyone have this setup (stromung/wrx struts)?

Other catbacks that mate up to donut gasket: Blitz Nurspec, Borla Hush. I can't recall more.

On the forester board (www.subaruforester.org), talk with Keyser Soze. He has the STi takeoffs and a Stromung TBE. He can tell you just how it works.

Get a hold of Jeremy from Crucial Racing. Thier Turbo Black Exhaust will be out real soon. This one is worth waiting a week or so for.

Jeremy's in the middle of his build on his Forester. I'm not 100% positive but the 8 ball says chances are likely they will have one with the release of the TurboBlack adn CatBlack

the cat-black prototype is for wrx/sti specific applications using their hanger locations and fitments. They plan to slap it on their shop's FXT for "sound/drone-testing". I've talked to Jeremy about this before also and fore-warned him regarding the possible fitment issues. If you are planning on this first run of cat-blacks for your FXT, expect to run into the same clearance/hanger/fitment concerns.
