What can I do to get high top speed?

ive hit an indicated 140 and that was fast enough for me in a car

that was the point!!!a Wrx really isnt a top speed kind of car, if you want high top speed, you need to do a lot of work and spend a lot of money, or start with a different car......

yes u can, if you watch the news, they are proposing a law to end high speed chasing over 100. so by law if it passes u can go over a 100 and they have to stop chasing you. so if u can reacha 100 before mr heli comes i think ur ok.

actually car mass has little to do with top speed.
remember at top speed there is no more acceleration taking place.
wheel horsepower, and aerodynamic drag are all there is to it!

I remember reading in a magazine several years back about an attempt to make a Corvette do 200 m.ph. Even with the aerodynamics of the Corvette body it was figured that at 199 m.p.h. it would take 88 more h.p. to do one more mile per hour. I very much doubt that someone in a beefed up Camaro managed 220 unless he was running maybe 800 h.p. and had ***** so big he needed a wagon to carry them.

That law has been passed here in CT already. 80mph though and the cop has to stop the pursuit.
