I have the (loud) Blitz Nur Spec-R. It is pretty loud, but I like it. The sound is quite low in pitch. I agree that taking it easy in residential areas is key. I was interested in the link to the Turbo magazine review a few posts back. Quite a few of the other exhausts had dB levels similar to the Blitz. The Blitz exhaust also comes standard with a bolt on silencer, so you have the option of a quieter ride when desired (many other manufacturers offer silencers as an extra cost item). I looked at many exhausts and my impression of the Blitz that the build and finish quality were both top notch. I also like the look on the car. I am very happy with the product (fitment was perfect too).
However, loudness and sound are very subjective so the best option is to hear the exhausts you are considering on other people's cars first.
Thanks!
Allan
