What about BOG???
Alright, here is one for you all. Since day one with my WRX wagon I have come to the conclusion that these things do not like to be given full throttle from a stand still. What a drag, you go to make a quick turn across traffic and the thing bogs on ya and then WHAM your off...it is kinda freaky at first.
Truth is I don't like that feeling and besides slipping the clutch a little there seems no way around it. Has anyone found a cure for the BOG?
Thanks

I thought that originally too, so I purchased a MRT up-pipe and a full turbo back shortly after purchasing the car. The car smoothed out, as far as idle goes, and became much quicker through the gears...but still from a stand still or a slow roll it kinda acts like it wants to "tear off", but then dies off and comes back with a vengence that puts you back in your seat. That part is fun, it is the pause between hitting the gas and the actual response that gets me.
Thanks for the reply.

are you running any type of engine mangagement? i don't know from personal experience, but the ecu reflashes offered by various companies now claim smooth torque curves, especially compared to piggyback unichips. here is a new release from cobb tuning if you haven't seen it yet. very promising and at an extremely fair price, makes me wish i would have waited before buying my utec.

Whoa that was a lot of info to take in...thank you. I do not have any engine management at this time. Although it was considered it was suggested that I wait until I am ready for a turbo-upgrade and injectors, etc. So I have not gotten anything as of yet...I figured I would invest in a TMIC this summer and a pulley and roll with that for a good number of miles to get some life out of my turbo :-). It seems such a shame to let it go to waste.
Also, my problem really isn't a torque curve issue...that is smooth, and I had considered a re-flash, but now...who knows...time will tell. My issue mostly is the stock programming that says somewhere along the line to delay acceleration from a low RPM. What is that about???
You mentioned having the UTEC, what is your opinion on that and besides a power bump due to raised boost levels how does it work for you?
