I'm using Castrol Syntec. I started using it after the first oil change. It actually works out great because I get my oil changed at the dealership and that is what they use. It was a package offered by them. It was $250 for 4 oil changes and 2 tire rotations a year for 8 years. That comes out to $7.81 an oil change and it only takes them about 20 minutes to do it while I wait. You can't beat that anywhere and I don't have to get dirty

oh, no, just wonderring if this filter is the OEM filter and comparing the design with others available on the market... of course subaru should use OEM filters... at least I sure hope they do.
