Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

We don't need no VTEC (...AVCS, ahem...)

I am still finishing it up. It got too cold on Saturday and my hands were cramping up so I stopped. Hense the presence of the king fish at the JDM meet and not my rex.

Rotas? Nah. Thats the only thing they are good for. The boxes to collect spilled oil and rims to make bar stools out of.

Ditto. If I'm lucky and my timing is right, maybe me and BHR will be doing this together. Awesome!

Alex, I'm sending you some Scoobysnacks for that writeup.

Alex,

Would you happen to know if the WRX JDM heads have stiffer valve spring than the USDM WRX?

Thanks for the write-up.

I am sure they are. STi heads have higher redline. They must be.

so how much different are the USDM STi heads vs. the JDM STi heads? would it be better to just get the JDM heads than the USDM heads? i'm thinking about just getting the JDM heads to be safe.

I don't know if the USDM heads will work. They are made for EJ25, so the combustion chamber design will be very different. Plus, it will have larger bore. Then, I do not know if you can re-AVCS the USDM STi heads.

Finally, there is no way you can get them for the same $ as the JDM ones.
