My friend has one too. I believe because it is bigger than your stock fuel pump. So it's normal for the noticeably louder sound.

Is it annoying loud or something? I'm about to install one as well. I only hear the fuel pump when I switch the key to on and haven't started the engine yet.

When do you hear the fuel pump? when you start the car? While driving? Professionally installed?

when you install one it is significantly louder. I have one in my car installed by myself. I only hear it pump when I turn the Ignition. After that I don't hear it anymore.

That's what I thought. That would be the only time you would hear it.

Get a louder exhaust.

And in all seriousness. I have never noticed mine making noise. I'll have to listen.
