Background:
I have a stock 02 wagon with 25k miles. Since I put about 22k per year and have no $, I am thinking of waiting until after the warrantee runs out before I mod. I am thinking of doing a Vishnu stage 1 with IC hoses and their flex up pipe (since I do alot of stop and go short trips and I really care about reliability).
Question:
Is 50k too many miles to be swapping out up pipes, etc...?
Thanks

VS stage I tune is pretty conservative. IMHO, an EGT gauge isn't necessary. It is nice to have a boost gauge, but also not required.
I don't think there are any issues on cars with 50K miles except getting the rusty bolts off the exhaust.

I agree that it's nice to have, but it's not required, I don't have one installed right now and I'm stage II.

stop and go
I kinda thrash on my car. I don't run the car to let the turbo cool down, etc.. No turbo timer. Based on what I have read on these posts, a flex joint should be more forgiving for this kind of treatment. I don't need the extra 1-2 hp that a fixed uppipe would give over a flex. Thus, my comment. The answer to why not do it now, is... no cashish at the moment.
