Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

All in all I think that you will be making a good move from trying to stay out of sensative issues that involve both companies. That will keep naysayers from pulling the conflict of interest card on you. All in all I don't have a problem with employees of interested parties working our boards, but I have seen such arrangements turn sour very quickly on other boards. Which is perhaps why a good bit of you are over here in the first place, is it not?

Good times,

cant go wrong with either one....

Well, I can comment on the TurboXS side of things. BTW, thanks freddie, for selling the TXS TBE to me. It's been great, not too loud and does perform beyond my expectations. Vishnu products are top notch... if there was a used Vishnu exhaust at the time I was getting my TBE, I would have gotten the Vishnu.

Also, I recommend the following:
I ended up wrapping the downpipe using 2" wide Thermo-tec header wrap, and spray coating it with the Thermo-tec Hi-heat Spray. It smelled a little at first, but then the smell went away, and I know that this has increased performance, and has reduced the underhood tempurature greatly. I used to have my TMIC heatsoaked, but now it's not hot, and only slightly warm after driving.

I also have the TXS TBE with the rfl muffler. My only complaint with it is that the cat hangs down too low as a result of the downpipe design. I keep smashing the cat on rocks. Oh well. It sounds great, and flows well for my dollar.

me personally, i like the turboxs, i like that you can always put on your stock axle back on whenever you want the stock look or the standard or ti txs muffler. i just ordered my txs tbe along with the txs uppipe, should take about 3-4 days and im confident that im going to love it.

From what it looks like, the Vishnu exhaust is very similar to BPM... I wonder if BPM manufactures the Vishnu exhaust.

they do look simillar...but the muffler part is a little different. I think Shiv used to use a Magna flow..not sure about now.

I wouldnt be shocked if he just changed mufflers and put his name on them...just like the "Vishnu" JIC coilovers.

Now now freddie, you know better than that.

For the record: Vishnu Signature exhausts are manufactured right here in the bay area by a local race prep/fabrication shop using 321 stainless tubing, Catco cats, and Magnaflow mufflers. Vishnu Standard exhausts are manufactured in Australia by a company called TaipanXP using a design provided by the same maker of the signature series. Both exhausts are proprietary designs that cannot be purchased from the manufacturers by anyone but Vishnu. Vishnu did indeed spend time and money developing both exhausts from scratch.

As for the coilovers, they are indeed JICs, but the matchup of spring rates and damping is also proprietary to Vishnu and cannot be purchased by anyone else from JIC.
