Version 7 engine max power

How strong are the V7 short blocks, how much power can thay handle with stock internals? Thanks for any help.

There is a number of different V7 motors. The all have different strength due to different components. Which one do you have? Best thing is to give me the EJ207DW.... number you can see on the timing belt cover or the back of the driver's side head.

Hey thanks for the help. I was tring to make out the stamp on the back of the head but its hard to see with the engine in the car. is there any where else to find this at.

this is what i could make out LHS20700 there is another letter but i cant see past the coolant line

That's the head stamp. The number you need is located on the white paper sticker either on the front of the black plastic timing belt cover or the back of one of the heads.

I found the sticker but its all rubed off i allso found some numbers on top where the transmission mounts 764400

That won't tell me much.

When people say V7, they refer to all JDM bugeye, pre-twin scroll motors. There were 4 major variations of them. Defferent heads, cam profiles, moving assembly components etc. So, I cannot say. 2 major diff motors are "regular" STi's and Spec C motors.

Do you see any numbers on that sticker at all? The last 2 would be great.
