Vacuum line engine cleaning.
Has anyone ever done one of those cleaning jobs where they put a bottle filled with cleaner onto your vacuum line and let it run for about an hour and then it runs like a dream afterwards? I did it to my civic but I used my friends bottle. I got the stuff again for my WRX but my friend doesn't have that bottle anymore.
Basically, where can I purchase that bottle (i don't want to build my own)? And which line should I hook it to? In my civic, I used the line that goes from the thing behind the master cylinder, the WRX has one there too but it only goes into one side of the intake manifold...
If anyone knows anything about this, I would really appreciate any help.

Why would you want to use something soo complicated when it does nothing more than your typical fuel system cleaner?
All it really is going to do is suck it down the intake (while not boosting) and clean up, hopefully clean up, gunk and crap in the valvetrain and combustion chamber. If you ran good gas it prolly wont make a lick of difference.

I did it to my civic and it worked like a lozenge during a severe cold. It was a bit harsh at 90k miles and it would take a few seconds to start it, no matter how many fuel cleaners I added. After I did the vacuum line cleaning, it made it feel like a brand new car almost.

What's the name of this miracle cleaner?
I'm not sure that running this stuff through a vacuum line would do anything that Chevron Techron wouldn't do in a much easier fashion. Our intake manifolds and throttle bodies are already 'dry' manifolds because of the injector location near the intake ports. Sucking fluid through a vacuum line would not clean the fuel system nor the injectors themselves.
If you decide to go ahead and run the stuff through your engine anyway, let us know if it causes a check engine light error because the ECU may sense an overly rich mixture.

It's called Golden Touch Power Pack Step 2. I jacked it from Jiffy Lube, its what they use to do their "stage 2" engine cleaning. There is lots of other kinds just like this one available, but usually only for proffesional use. Pepboys sells something like it but you have to bring your car in to do it.
ingredients: Isopropanol, Xylene, Diacetone Alcohol.
The way it is injected it shouldn't set of any CELs. It comes in in such little amount that it takes almost an hour to suck down like 8oz. The applicator my friend had had a dripper like one in an IV tube. I have also seen bottle that mist the chemical into the vacuum line.
If this rings a bell to anyone and they can tell me where I can get this applicator, please let me know.

I don't know if it's diluted or not but it does share the ingredients. The bottle says that its supposed to plug into the PCV valve.
I have been googling all day for this crap but can't find didly.

I had something similar done to my Supra and I could tell a difference right away. I think the brand was B&G or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't a lot of the fuel injector cleaners out there bad for your injectors?

Yeah, it isn't very gentle on them. Thats probably why it is recommended to do it only once between oil changes. The vacuum stuff is recommended once every 30k-40k miles.
Anyways, I think I am just going to go around and ask shops what they use and maybe they will let me borrow theirs or something.

I have had problems with that stuff going in too fast and sitting on the tvg's. As soon as you open the throttle it dumps and causes 4 misfire codes at once. It also has the potential to hydrolock the motor if your not carefull.

Ford or GM Carb tune up cleaner. I work at a dealer and I get all sorts of chemicals. It removes alot of carbon and oil residue and produces alot of smoke if your catless.
