Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

USDM STI shortblock?'s

What will be the approximate compression of a USDM STI shortblock(EJ257) w/ US stock WRX heads w/ OEM thickness gaskets?
What else is needed if anything in order to perform this shortblock swap, as far as oil pan, water pump, etc?
Is this block physically larger or smaller than the 2ltr? Just curious as to whether my intercooler, wastegate, etc. piping will fit the same.
Sorry about all the ?'s, I just haven't looked much into this swap. Recent developements w/ current shortblock build have led me to this being the best possible option while I finish my other shortblock on the side.
Thanks much in advance,
-AK
