Uppipe question? TO flex or not to flex

yes, we all know flex is the way to go, but i need power for cheap $ what exactly does the flex help do, i've heard helps oil leaks, but then why do the majority of companies sell nonflex uppipes and people don't complain?

and who would you recommend for an uppipe?
thanks
max

Flex uppipes are much easier to install. This makes them less prone to gasket leaks, as well as more easily able to soak up heat expansion without stressing the flange connections.

if you live in areas with cold winters you should get an uppipe with a flex joint. Metal expands and contracts in heat and cold and the flex joint will help compensate for this.

"power for cheap"

the helix up-pipe/downpipe combo is on sale at www.gruppe-s.com the up-pipe alone is pretty inexpensive and it has a flex joint.

does vishnu, txs, godspeed have a flex? NO do they know what they are talking about, yes!
Stock indeed does have a flex joint, you just can't see it under the heat shield. Vishnu has both flex and non-flex joint uppipes. Non-flex pipes MUST be made of very high quality steel, have very thick flanges, and joint reinforcements as the Vishnu 321 pipe does. Flex pipes can get away with using a lower quality material, since is there is far less strain on the flanges from thermal expansion.
