Upper engine oil leak.

Hey everyone my name is gus, recently my 05 wrx has developed a oil leak. It's not bad but it's very annoying, looking in my engine bay I'm seeing oil build up on the passenger side valve cover. Iv yet to pull off the timing cover or inspect the other valve seal. I plan to get down with some engine degreaser and a pressure wash after I cover up important parts ( short ram, distributor cap) and get some floresent dye and a black light. my question is what are some other areas to look at so I can get everything. I'm about to do my timing belt in a few weeks. 107k mi. Now my tech background iv taken apart plenty domestic engines and replaced all major parts, now I'm still learning my suby but I must say this car has the best feel iv driven. So I want her to be healthy and last a long time

1. There is no distributor.
2. It is most likely the rubber gasket under the valve cover separater breathed; black plastic thingy.

Yeah! If anyone has the How To, on replacing the valve cover gasket(s) would be I big help, mine are also leaking oil, and my car just turned 100K not long ago. I might add the How To, on replacing the timing belt, but seems that i might be needing a timing gun, correct me if im wrong...
