upipe downpipe
I have searched these topics planning on putting on a turboback with high flow cats is it detrimental to not replace uppipe. I understand a big reason to replace uppipe is to prevent particals from entering turbo. Also is an ecu reset a benefit after these/any mods?

The big reason to replace the uppipe is to help the turbo spool faster, plus gaining about 10 horsepower. This is pretty consistent regardless of your other mods. You don't really need to do the reset, the ECU will figure things out within a tank or 2 of gas anyway.

It depends on which turboback you buy. Most complete turboback kits include a high flow cat, while most downpipes and catbacks delete them. Running catless can get you in trouble- police can smell it when driving behind you, and it's a huge federal fine around $10,000 if you are caught.
