The only other thing is get some 2.0 resistors from radio shack and put a bolt in the EGT bung to block it off, I don't know the size of the bolt but I'm sure some one could post it please.

4 bills is TOO MUCH ! shops over here do it for 140ish (Nor-Cal) . . . just get a bunch of friends to help you. save your *** some money ! start as early as possible !
400 bucks sounds like a lot but if you look at the way they would do it it isnt that much. THe shop would most like remove the turbo and intercooler and all that junk but you dont need to. Heres what you should do. Remove the DP, loosen up the up-pipe screws on the turbo, you're gonna have to remove some of the heat shield and ex manifold pieces. Loosen the ps motor mount and jack up the engine. its gonna take about 2.5 inches to get the factory up-pipe out once you do that re attach the motormount. You're new up-pipe should slide right in. Good luck man, it took me and my friend about 4.5 hours to put my ex manifold and up-pipe on in my garage.

$400 is a downpipe man. Do it yourself. It'll be tough, but well worth it. I did it in 'installments' of work over 3 days. I got stuck a few times, but in the end I prevailed. All by my lonesome too.
12 step uppipe program
1. put the car on stabile jackstands
1.5 make sure you have an 02 sensor wrench
2. take off front right wheel
3. take off plastic undertray splashguard
4. take off intercooler
5. take off turbo heat shield
6. spray downpipe bolts with a liberal amount of liquid wrench or wd40
7. take off downpipe
8. spray uppipe bolts with a liberal amount of liquid wrench or wd40
9. take out egt sensor
10. unbolt passenger side engine mount, push up engine (it's not that heavy) and wiggle the stock uppipe out. (after you unbolt it uf course).
11. Replace with FLEX uppipe
12. Repeat steps 10-1 (and when you put the intercooler back in it's easier to slip the ypipe onto the turbo and just bolt the flanges to the i/c

to go along with Vibeeleven when you get the up-pipe off there are two bolts on it that go to the back of the turbo, if your new up-pipe comes with the bolts seperate when you go to put them on put them on facing down so when you put the nut on you can access it from the bottom. That way, if you have to take it off you wont have to remove the down-pipe.
