To explain my situation I have to explain my setup, I have an 03 WRX with a Greddy Catback, PDE Dowpipe, I do not have a CEL but I want to get a quality flex up pipe, put I still do not want a CEL. So are there any ways around this with a certain up-pipe or is there a CEL fix I could buy ? I know there are CEL fixes for the downpipes, will those work for up-pipes too ? Thanks In Advance !

it's pretty easy, remove the o2 sensor, what i did was cut it. then use the same 02 sensor to plug back up the hole on the uppipe, then do the 2.2k ohm resistor mod i think it can be found on scoobymods.com for pictures

It's actually not an 02 sensor in the uppipe, but the EGT probe. With the catless uppipe there is no need for the probe which is there to monitor the catalyst temperature so it can be removed and replaced electrically with a 2.2K ohm resistor.
Rather than reinstall the old probe in the new uppipe (if it has the bung for it, some don't) it is best to plug the hole with a bolt. The probe is delicate and when exposed to the full exhaust stream for a while it can break apart.
