unstable warm start idle?

is this happening to every wrx owners?

mine's 02 wrx.

when i turn it on, rpm goes up n down to about 650 rpm.

it's happening only when it's enoughly wormed up.

i thought it's from the aftermarket bov,

but today i put it back to the stock bov.

same happening.

better than turboxs.

when i had it, it hits 400 rpm n goes up.

i have hks turbo timer, so i could read the exact rpm.

bumb I have that same problem.

I think you guys misunderstood his concern. Heres what i think hes saying

When first starting the wrx after being turned off and long period of time probably over 2hrs. The car starts right up! just normal the rpms are perfect were they should be.

You then drive around for a while lets say 30mins. Then you turn off your car and go to the store to get some grocerys. When you fire the car up again. The very first initial Rpm Shoots up normally but IMMEDIAETlY Falsl low below normal rpm at idle, The car shakes more then ususally for acouple of pulses and right before I thinK its going to die it Stableizes.

My mods are full turbo back and utec thats proffesionally tuned.

I notice this situtation most Dramatically when im using the utec. When I switch the map to stock, It still happens but not nearlly as dramatic.

I guess it has something to do with the utec, Or unburnt gasoline because when i feel the rpms following dangerously low I blimp the gas to about 2.5k and i get loud exhaust popping noises. I Guess its unburnt fuel thats poping.

I have a Greddy Evo, and im running no cats. I seldomly hear backfires (pops) when driving or in between shifts. But Every time I start my car after being driven, I can always make it backfire by blimping the gas

I blimp the gas because i was affraid the car would turn off, But even if i dont blimp the gas It will stableize no mater how rough the idle gets for acouple of Pulses.

So in other words I get it also, But I have i feel it alot more with the Utec
