Turbo back refers to the section after the turbo. The uppipe is before the turbo. The TurboXS stealthback + uppipe will replace all cats and effectively uncork the exhaust.

Yes, but the stock muffler is the most restrictive part in the exhaust.

If you had to choose one exhaust component to replace on a stock car, I think a downpipe (that replaces 2 cats) would make the most increase in hp, not to mention better driveablility. A catback was my first mod and I don't think gained much. It almost felt like I lost a little down low.

if you're looking for earlier spool and better general driveability, then go for an uppipe.

if you're looking for better times at the dragstrip, then get a downpipe that eliminates both cats and a straight through muffler (or a TB exhaust system preferably).
