Thumbs up TurboXS uppipe installed

A little review...

For its price, up pipe is a very good purchase. I'm happy with the improvements from when it was stock. Turbo lag was reduced quite a lot from 1-3 gears. The car's response improved a lot as well. I can stay at a gear on lower speeds when I can't before. Even at highway speeds, it improved passing ability with almost no need downshifting to 4th. Quality of the product is excellent!

I'm very happy with the purchase. Next step will be Cobb AP stg 2 + Helix catted downpipe.

Question Uppipe install timing...

I assume that doing the uppipe should be done with an exhaust and downpipe install? My car is stock (no ECU flash yet) at the current time and was going to wait till the spring to just buy everything together.

Wait till I do them all?

Weakness...naw, do the up pipe now. It will be the hardest to install but also one of the funnest first mods. The up pipe itself does not need any supporting mods, it is fun and noticable by itself!

Yup, couldn't agree more on that. I did up pipe first, because it is the best bang for the buck; that's while I'm waiting on my bonus to get my AP stg 2.

Exclamation Thanks guys!

Appreciate the info! I know it will allow a fast spool-up and and top end and 10-15 horses. Anything else I should see?

You're right on the faster spoolup, but the uppy isn't made to give you better top end..in fact, the opposite is true. Uppipes help for quicker spoolup and stronger lower end. Although I'm sure you will see alittle improvement over the whole rev range. If you want stronger upper end power you'll haveto wait for your turbo back exhaust, or more specifically, your downpipe.

You have to take the downpipe off to get to the up so, unless you wanna take off the downpipe twice, I would wait and do it all at once. Thats what I did. Good luck

BTW, buy some intercooler hoses when you put on the uppipe or at least the y-pipe. The stock Y-pipe SUCKS! It looks like it was designed to restrict flow.
