Hey All,
Currently on my car I have a TurboXS RFL BOV, catless midpipe, silencer mod, and APS 3" catback exhaust. I plan on getting a Godspeed up and down pipe and replacing the midpipe I have now. But I'm confused as to the differences between aftermarket turbos and their individual benefits and disadvantages. If anyone out there has any info on the different IHI turbos and PE turbos or anything else it would really be helpful. Of course I know with a new turbo some other things need to be done like injectors, pump, and engine management. But shouldn't I know what turbo I'm going to use before I get all the other stuff.
If yall are going to help me you should prolly know what I'm looking for, Im trying to build an 11 second car for the track but something that is managable and driveable on a daily basis, some discomfort is no big deal the speed is most important.
thanks a ton,

Try a TD05-18G (or perhaps a 20G). You will definately need larger injectors/fuel pump (and perhaps fuel rails). Get a good engine management platform like the UTEC or XEDE. For your power goals you are going to need at least 650 injectors, if not larger.

Do a search for them. I believe forced performance that makes them, among others. It is a relatively new turbo for the WRX, although they have been used on DSMs and other vehicles for years. They spool up faster than the IHI and PE turbos and have comparable or better top ends. They are also cheaper than the IHI and PEs. If you get one make sure you get a turbo timer as the center section is dry and needs to be properly cooled down after running.
