Arc ???
hi all
anyone know anything of these manafacturers
my REX has an ARC blow off valve on it when i got it thing is im pretty sure its an 100% atmospheric
coz i dont get any noise except my induction kit blowing back
i thought it was the dump valve coz the sound is like a flutter but its loud but then realised that the sound is coming from the drivers side and the dump valve is sort of centre near intercooler and i know its the induction cos my last turbo car i had when i fitted an induction kit it did it too.
anyway ive disected my dump valve and it seems to be adjustable .whats the point of this if its 100% atmospheric and which is better loose easy open spring or tight strong adjustment hard to open will it still dump on tight setting i cant suss it out cos the thing is silent and it needs to be on while driving
any tips

Oh ok, why didn't you say so?
The tighter you put the BOV spring, the more boost it will take to open it. I know on my car when I overtighten it, I get a fluttering sound, also known as reversion. This is when the air hits the BOV and gets rejected by the spring and sent back through the IC and out the intake pipe, echoing and fluttering. If the spring is too loose, your car will have a vacuum leak after boosting, and will die when coming down the power band in neutral or when the clutch is pushed in. Play with it until you get a minimal amount of fluttering, and your car won't die. And no, I haven't seen an ARC before.
