Bought mine on e-bay for $825......it was used but in perfect condition. And according to the guy I bought it from, you can get a cel from the high flow cat. I bought a cel eliminator for $5 on e-bay....it consists of a resistor, a capacitor, and directions. So you have to cut and splice wires yourself. If that doesnt bother you they always have several auctions going.
Sounds sweet too.... not too loud but loud enough!!

I have the TXS Stg 4 + TMIC + UTEC(of course). I shut the CEL off via the UTEC. With that option enabled inthe UTEC the light does come on, if a CEL is present, for a few seconds at start up. This way you know if you have a CEL, but is not on all the time.
FWIW I did not get the TXS muffler. I wanted to maintain the dual tip look. Phil or Nathan had suggested Stromung months ago & I just recently got a used one for $325 from another i-club memeber. I need to find someone that has the full TXS exhaust to compare sound. I can tell you that it is deep, but not loud until you get on it ... this has caused my tame my driving some .. which is prolly a good thing.
Lastly, what the above also says is that I ran with the stock muffler for a couple of months with problems. I had exhaust fumes in the cabin, blew the thick u/p gasket I had got from Prestige Subaru a few months back, but after the Stromung was installed .. no fumes & no more problems. That stock muffler was causing a lot of back pressure!

I got used to it, and now I love it and has a great sound. Sounds like it serves a purpose, thats the best way to describe it.

Yeah when you increase the diameter of the pipe you are getting more air away from the engine faster there for reducing the back pressure there for decreaseing low end torque.

Turbo XS/IC Removal
I've got a T XS Superstealth System (down pipe, mid pipe hi flo cat, & mid pipe) I haven't installed yet (waiting for warmer weather/unheated garage). I've got a Pro Drive muffler on the car ('03 Sedan) right now, with an AEM CAI kit and a Vishnu EMI. If you've suffered a loss of bottom end power-I can unreservedly recommend the Vishu Tuning EMI module. It wires into your stock ECU-the improvement in bottom end and mid range HP & torque are amazing. As is throttle response and much earlier ramp up to full boost. It seems it would certainly counteract any loss of bottom end caused by the down pipe-guess I'll find out for sure when I install my XS system. The only negative thing I can say about the EMI is the lack of an encolsure for it. It's just a small printed circuit board/multi pin port/connector with wires. As with any PCB-it's quite fragile-I encased mine in a modified cassette tape case prior to installation & mounting. Crude but effective. I have a question about the XS down pipe install-the intercooler has to be removed prior to the exhaust system install (I'll install Vishnu IC hoses as the same time)do any of you know where I can down load any text + photos instructions for the IC removal. The T XS exhaust instructions simply say to "remove the intercooler" a little more detail would be helpful (like what order to unbolt stuff and what NOT to do). I can do the IC removal without additionl instructions, but would prefer not to. Thanks.
PS: Feel free to call for bail money (I didn't say I'd give you any, I just said you could call!).

It's on how to do the samco intercooler hoses so it should cover it.
