Depends on your application. There is no "best."

I'm sure you wouldn't want a VF22 for auto-x...

I have a 30 - had it for 6 months or so.

I like that it is a pretty robust turbo. I'm told the VF 22 is more delicate.
I like that it is simple to just bolt it on. So does the VF 22
I like that it has fair peak power. VF 22 has a higher peak power
I like that it has less lag than a VF22.

I don't like that it really is designed to a car with a higher redline than the WRX so it has more lag than it needs.

I guess that's my only complaint about the VF-30, lag. I don't complain about the peak HP since that would increase the lag.
